Yesterday I took Aliza and Lilly to have their pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids. They turned out really cute. Aliza had not had her picture taken since she was 2, so she was definitely overdue. You can check out the pictures using this link, I hope to get copies to some of you in the mail soon. Enjoy.

Splish Splash I was taking a bath!
Just some cute pictures of the kids in the tub the other night. Ben and Aliza feel like they can not take a bath without their snorkel mask and goggles, hilarious! Lilly just loves the bath too! Kids can be so funny.
Like I said - Hilarious!

Kindergarten Awards
Well Ben has finished out a great year in Kindergarten. We went up to the school last week for his awards day. He recieved his Eagles in Flight medal. This award was given to the kids who achieved Eagles in Flight all six times, in order to do this he had to have good behavior while at school. Only about 1/4 of his class were awarded these medals, he was very proud. He also recieved awards for oustanding reading, outstanding citizenship, and a reading club award. He had a great year and is looking forward to summer and first grade.

On memorial day (yes I am behind on blogging), we went to a Fort Worth Cats baseball game with our friends the Thatchers. It was a very muggy and warm evening but there was a nice breeze blowing. The game was great. Ben and Aliza had a great time watching the game and playing with Caden and Noah. In the end the Cats pulled it out and won the game! After the game there was a fireworks display, which Aliza could hardly wait for. Although by the 7th inning she was getting so tired and grumpy and at one point announced she did not like fireworks and did not want to see them, she just wanted to go home! Of course once the fireworks did start (at 10:15pm) she was all smiles. We had a great time and hope to go to a Texas Rangers game in the future. By the way Lilly stayed home with a babysitter, so no pictures of her this time.

Lilly's 1st Birthday
My little Lilly turned one on May 25th, I can't believe how fast the time went, she is not a little baby anymore.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILLY, WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
We had a pretty low key party for her only having the Thatchers (they have become our Texas family) over for dinner and cake. Ben and Aliza were so excited for their sisters birthday. Lilly had her own little special cake and then I made a cake shaped like an "L" for the rest of us to enjoy.
For work on Thursday I brought cupcakes for the kids upstairs so they could celebrate with Lilly, and once she figured out how good that cupcake was, she went to town! So she did have a little bit of practice when Sunday came around. And soon as she saw that cake she wanted to dig right it, needless to say she polished the whole thing off!

We got her a push behind princess car, a toy that shoots balls out of it, and a swing to hang on the porch, she loves to swing - just like her sister! We had fun watching her celebrate.

Field Day!!
Friday was field day for Ben's school, this is where the kids get to spend the day outside playing in bounce houses, and doing various other track and field type games. Since it was on a Friday Aliza and I headed to the school to help out.

Ben loved every game
Carrying a rubber chicken with two sticks
Potato sack race
Ben's Kindergarten class
Playing tug of war - they were the Kindergarten champs!
Chalk another one up for Dad
So as many of you may know, in our house, when dad watches the kids you never know what may happen. We have the infamous, 64 oz of syrup into the carpet, the hose in the car, the baby oil in the brand new carpet, plus many other classics. However we can now add another fiasco to the list. Last weekend while we were at the Great Wolf Lodge, Lilly was getting rather tired. Don volunteered to take Lilly back to the room for a nap - although I think he was secretly hoping to take a nap himself. So the kids and I run around down stairs for about two hours before heading back to our room. I walk in and Lilly turns around and smiles at me and she is all red from head to toe. I look in the bathroom and there in the bathtub is a red washcloth and a ring of red around the tub. Don is sitting on the bed watching tv (Indiana Jones). I then see Lilly's car seat, you guessed it covered in red. So of course my first question is what the heck happened? "What are you talking about?" asks Don. He then proceeds to tell me that Lilly never took a nap and was playing quietly, when he finally looked to see what she was doing (don't forget he was watching Indiana Jones, can't miss that!) he noticed she had gotten some sort of powder open and had it everywhere. Well the powder ended up being a packet of crystal light! It was a mess! He put her in the bathtub but says he never saw her car seat or the large pile of powder still remaining on the floor. WAY TO GO DAD! Anyway here are the pictures that Don was all to happy to take, it's all just a big joke now!
