So Aliza has gotten very good at saying prayers. She loves to say them and basically gives Heavenly Father a run down of her day each time, even when we are blessing the food. No problem, I am not going to discourage that. So last night she was blessing the food and giving her play by play of the day when she says, "and bless that mom will be nice to me and not yell at me ..." What! Don is down at the other end of the table laughing as I am picking my jaw up off the ground. After she finished I asked her why she thought I was mean to her, she proceeded to tell me that I got mad at her because she wasn't listening that morning. She is so super sensitive, if you even raise your voice she starts to tear up! I assured her that I am not mean to her and love her very much. Silly girl.
By the way in the same prayer she also prayed that Lilly would stay in her bed and not come out so that daddy would not give her a little butt spank!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL !!
Ben and Aliza started school this year on August 25th. Ben is in 2nd grade and Aliza started Kindergarten this year!

Aliza was so excited to start school she loved going school shopping and could hardly wait to ride the bus. Aliza's teacher is Mrs. Henry (that was Ben's teacher) and we are very happy about that. Aliza was dissappointed that I was taking them to school on the first day, she wanted to ride the bus! That afternoon when she came home she had the biggest smile on her face and she shouted "that was the BEST day ever, and the BEST bus ride ever!" Hilarious. She couldn't wait to go back.

Ben was also excited to get back to school, but as usual he could careless about back to school shopping. His teacher this year is Mrs. Bransky, this is her first year teaching but has been a substitute for several years. This year in 2nd grade the students will rotate between 2 teachers with one teaching math and science and the other teaching reading and language arts/social studies. I'm not sure how I feel about this set-up yet, but Ben seems to love it. He has alot of his old friends in his class so he is ready to go.
Mom is very much enjoying having the kids in school, Lilly and I run our errands and hang out together and enj0y the quiet in the house! YEAH SCHOOL!!
Lilly's 1st Dental visit
All the kids had their teeth cleaned last week in preparation for school starting, so I figured we might as well throw Lilly into the mix there as well. I wasn't sure how she would do, and wondered if she would be worse since I was the one cleaning her teeth! She did pretty well. She would NOT sit in the dental chair, so I held her on my lap and was able to polish most of her teeth. She really liked the suction and the water, she kept asking for more water. Hopefully she will be a little better in 6 months!

Yellow Belt
This summer Ben has been taking Karate lessons through a local karate school. He has really enjoyed it. Every day he does his push-ups and sit-ups which are required by the class. Last Thursday was the belt ceremony where Ben had the chance to earn his yellow belt. He had to demonstrate various kicks and punches they had learned as well as answer several questions related to karate. Ben did very well and easily advanced on. He is now excited about learning more and moving on to the next belt color (orange - I think!).

Anniversary Day
On August 1st Don and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! We were able to get a babysitter for most of the day so we had all afternoon and evening together. The initial plan was to go to the Dallas Temple for a session, but somebody didn't realize until we were driving there that his recommend had expired the month before!! Luckily we were not to far into the drive. So we detoured with lunch and a movie. We went and saw the new Harry Potter movie. After the movie we drove out to Arlington to catch a Rangers game. I had never been to the Ranger's Ballpark and was excited to go. We got tickets for the all you can eat seats (although we are both on a diet!). Our seats were in the front row right above right field, I was worried about how well we would be able to see but the seats were great, we could see everything! The Rangers were playing the Seattle Mariners and unfortunately lost the game, it happened to be the only game of the series that they lost! Still we had a great time. 11 years have gone by pretty fast it's amazing, in fact I am starting to feel old! Happy Anniversary Don - love ya!
